Ketapang, 22 December 2020– To celebrate Christmas Day in 2020, PT Well Harvest Winning (WHW) Alumina Refinery through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program welcomed Christmas by sharing Christmas gifts to four hamlets in Mekar Utama Village, Kendawangan District, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, on Monday (12/21/2020). A total of 138 packages of food were distributed to residents who celebrated Christmas in Silingan Village, Sukaria Hamlet, Klungkup Belantak Hamlet and Gantang River Hamlet.
Director of PT WHW, Boni Subekti said, as a form of concern and tolerance to fellow religious people, the company continuously distributes Christmas parcel packages to Kendawangan Residents, especially the ring area of PT WHW. "We wish you a Merry Christmas in 2020 to all people of West Kalimantan. This Christmas moment is a good time to share and pray together that we will soon get out of the Covid-19 pandemic," said Boni Subekti.
The Christmas gift was symbolically handed over to the Kendawangan People represented by Yohanes Kalut as the Chairman of RT 01 RW 001 in Selingan Sub-Village. The Christmas gift assistance is in the form of food packages consisting of rice, syrup, biscuits, sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour and packaged tea.
According to Yohanes Kalut, the gift is very useful for its citizens because it can be used to celebrate Christmas with family. "We would like to thank PT WHW who from year to year provide Christmas assistance to kendawangan residents. The assistance is very useful to prepare Christmas dishes for families and guests who come", said Yohanes Kalut.
